With summer in full-force, swimwear is an absolute must! Whether you are attending a cookout or vacationing on the beach, a tall bathing suit cover-up is another must-have for summer. Whenever I wear a regular size cover-up, I feel like I am wearing a long shirt that barely covers my toosh, making it essentially useless to wear as a cover-up.

Tall girls are in luck this summer as I actually found really cute “tall” bathing suit cover-ups at Long Tall Sally and Tall Girl Shop!

While more retailers are beginning to carry tall women’s clothes, its often limited to basic jeans or basic t-shirts – no frills and no style. Many times, the super trendy styles are only available in regular sizes, but tall women deserve to be stylish too! Tall Maxi Dresses

Maxi dresses are HOT this season! These dresses are ankle length so there is no danger of this dress being too short, even for the tallest woman. However, unless you get a tall maxi dress, they tend to hit tall women around mid-calf. While this may not be a bad look, it is the unintended look of the dress.

Tall Summer Dresses

One of the best things about summer is getting to wear super-cute summer dresses!

Being a tall girl, dresses seemed to be the one thing I could wear in a regular size, but over the years, dresses have continually gotten shorter. At this point, there is no way I could wear a regular size dress - they barely cover my toosh!

While few retailers carry tall dresses, I’ve had great luck at Old Navy this season. I just purchased two tall dresses (pictured above) earlier this week and love them! One is perfect for the pool/beach and the other is great for date night!

The best part? They were both less than $30 / dress!

Old Navy sells out of tall sizes very quickly - often within a week – so act fast!

Large Size Flip-Flops

Every summer I have the same challenge....trying to find cute, trendy flip-flops that actually fit. I have too many pairs of flip-flops where my feet hang off the back - not good!

While on vacation in Florida, I discovered my now FAVORITE flip-flops, Havaianas!! Most cute flip-flops only go to size 10, but Havaianas go up to size 12!! Hallelujah! Long are the days where I have to wear flip-flops where my feet hang off the back!

Not only are Havaianas super cute and trendy, they are are the most comfortable flip-flops I have ever worn, by far! Unlike other flips-flops, they are very squishy and never rub my skin or give me blisters.

Havaianas are about $24/pair, but they are extremely durable and will last multiple seasons! They can be purchased at several retailers (i.e. GAP, Dillard's, etc), but I have only found the larger sizes on the Havaianas website.
