Tall In Indy

I'm in the current planning stages of putting together Tall In Indy. Currently in Indianapolis there are not any tall groups. For a few years I have wanted to start my own group. It wasn't until I stumbled onto Petra's Facebook site - Tall People United - that I actually started putting my ideas into the works. Petra in a sense has inspired me to start what I'm doing.

Right now I'm in the process of finding like minded people to join me in my adventure. I want to make it a little easier for us tall women to find better fitting clothes. To create friendships and support groups for one another. I also want to get involved with Men's Fashion. I know that the men out there have just as hard of a time, if not harder, finding clothes to fit their tall frame.

I'd also like to start Support Groups for Teen's. I remember what it was like being in Junior High and High School. Kids can be quite cruel. I'd like to start mentor groups to help create positive self esteem for this kids. Also the pressure that some teens face in high school because of sports can be some what unsettling. I believe that by providing mentors these kids will be able to achieve their goals and stay focused when life throws them a curve ball.
