Ordering a special-size mattress...advice?

Hi Folks,

I found this website last week. Perhaps you can help me with this...my son is 14, 6'1", 220, and hasn't hit his growth spurt yet. Doc guesses he will get to 6'6" or 6'8". He needs a new bed, but his bedroom just isn't big enough for a California King mattress.

Recently we heard of a mattress size called a California Queen. It is the length of a Cal. King, but only the width of a regular queen. It is only available in special order. We tried to order through Mattress Warehouse, but they are giving us a variety of difficulties, and we want to try to order elsewhere.

Have you ever had a special order mattress made? Can you suggest a company that handled it well, or one to avoid? In general, I know how to choose a mattress, but this special order thing is turning out to be a real pain.

Hi All,

I'm looking to buy a zero gravity chair that is going to be comfortable for my skinny 6' 3" frame. It seems a lot of chairs claim to be for tall people but some of the reviews indicate things like metal bars in bad places etc. Anyone have any personal experience with a zero gravity chair that is truly comfortable for a tall person?

Dating Question, where do I go?

So I would like to date someone that is close to my height. I'm about 6 foot 7. Where do I go to achieve this? Do I just start looking randomly? It may be a lame question and it's a shot in the dark but I don't have any friends that are as tall or even close to my height so I don't know how to start this.

I mentioned this to friends and I got the usual jokes about "Whoa, are you sure she wouldn't be a man?" or "You two would be a couple of giant freaks" and stuff. I just think finding a date that is tall would be pretty cool. I would imagine that if I find someone with my height that we would already have something in common. I'm sure we could share some crazy stories about being tall.

I didn't see any posts in the forum about this. What do you folks think? Is there a strategy to this or maybe I should just keep dreaming?

Hey guys!

My name is Sussan and I am 180 cm. I currently work as a junior copywriter for StyleTread. We're an online shoe store and as the girl in charge of the blogs I have dedicated a blog entry to tall girls wearing heels.

I personally have only worn heels once or twice out and the experience wasn't great. It was rather horrible actually. Certain guys continued to remind me how tall I was so it was hard to be excited about my gorgeous shoes.

Anyways so this is my article and I would love it if you guys could check it out and comment.

This isn't an advertisement more so a rallying of the troops. The more of us that stand up and say tall girls in heels is sexy and not freakish outside of our own little circles the more of us that will feel confident when wearing heels.

If you guys have yet to read the column written by Celia Rivenbark about the women who caused an accident while trying to shave her you know what while driving,well I suggest you read it. I've even done you a favor and made it easy to find right here

I recently bought a few of Celia's books. I'm currently ready "Stop Dressing Your 6 Year Old Like a Skank" and I have to force myself to put it down so I can get stuff done. I literally laugh out loud while reading this book. As soon as I'm done with this one I'm going to purchase "You Can't Drink All Day if You Don't Start in the Morning".

Celia is not a Tall Women. Matter of fact I think she's quite the opposite. But she's a great read. If you have 5 minutes check out the article. And if you laugh as hard as I did you'll enjoy the books.
