About Me:
There is no substitute for good manners, with the possible exception of fast reflexes.

I shall proceed now to get started with the laundry list of personal traits that some might find distasteful, in the interest of possibly saving you, dear reader, the trouble of reading this whole spiel. To a certain type of person, this section may serve as enticement to read further. In any case, here are a few fun and useful facts.

I'm cranky, cynical, skeptical, and tend to have a very dark and sarcastic sense of humor. I believe in equal-opportunity debunking, disparagement, and insult- provided these things ultimately serve a positive purpose or the noble cause of humor. If there is a category, I have a joke. Particularly if that category is lawyers. Basically, if you're big on any form of political correctness (beyond the realm of basic civility) then you should stop reading now.

In terms of religion, I'm an apatheist. To quote Bill Maher's definition, it's "... a combination of atheist and apathy, meaning I don’t know and I don’t care, because I’m never going to find out and it doesn't really affect me."

I have a pretty big ego combined with a frequently self-deprecating sense of humor, and this as well as other things make me a pretty difficult person to read. I also have an absurd level of patience, and an even more absurd ability to feign it.

In short, I am tolerant as long as toleration is practiced. I have no qualms with dogma, religion, beliefs, or any other "category" of society, provided that people do not act on them in such a way that they stupidly and negatively affect things or people other than themselves in a negative or regressive manner.

I drink (usually good beer and good whiskey). I also smoke a pipe (tobacco) on infrequent occasion. I do these things because I enjoy them. I don't smoke weed, but am perfectly fine with others doing it. All the stuff ever did was give me migraines- be it good, dank, shitty, or any mix of the above.
I can generally handle secondhand.

I have a really long and rather convoluted back story. How I wound up to be halfway decent, let alone not some form of fertilizer, is beyond me.

I drink a LOT of coffee. Seriously. Mosquitoes bite me and die. Immediately.

If you had to ask me, I'm politically progressive overall. I'm about as straight as they make them nowadays, but I'm an ally and damn proud of it.

I also like to have conversations about deep and interesting topics- such as the above and others. I am not beyond self improvement either- when I say equal-opportunity disparagement, I do not exclude myself. Say anything you want, just have a rational argument to back it up.

I follow politics, read a lot, game occasionally, and am pretty goddamn awesome with computers and technology. I also do a lot of weird projects. Oh, and you're going to hear a Linux speech from me at some point.

I LOATHE over-application of needless nomenclature, and sub-categorization thereof.

If you have a clinical case of shitty grammar, it will be noted. Just noted. If you make typos, I won't judge. If you're just lazy about it, fine. I can understand that. If you indignantly defend the chronic use of shitty grammar, and can't make a rational argument to that end (good luck!) then prepare for flames.

I'm 6 feet and 8 inches tall- a little over 2 meters.

Finally, it should be mentioned that I quite like to play with fire.

I have a BS in Political Science (2012) and am taking a year off to pad my resume and save money before law school next fall.

This concludes (for now) the warning section. If you're not out buying a replacement for the computer monitor you just smashed, and find at least a few of the above items to be good things, then chances are we're going to get along fairly well.
