Do people assume your more agressive because your tall?

no, but height is intimidating, so, the psychological reaction tends to be the same.

No, but people tend to give me more respect professionally and when I go places like the grocery store people automatically move out of my way!

I haven't found that people assume I'm more aggressive, but I have been targetted by short, aggressive blokes. It's as though if they take a pop at the biggest guy in the room they will prove themselves. It never works out for them though - I'm a gentle giant, but I won't take any crap! Of course, people might think I'm arrogant or overconfident - which might be true!

I agree that professionally, height can be an advantage...if constantly being in the foreground is advantageous in your line of work.

ive had the random encounters with short anoyed lil men, dont get me wrong, i was with my ex for 4 years and he was like 5f5 so i know they arent all like that but sadly most are, like i jus started a new job and people are all saying stuff about my height, hopefully they will get over it but then theres always the rude customers looks and comments haha the other day i went into this TINY shop like i had to frikken duck my head big time to get into the doorway and the guy behind the counter is all 'oh its nice to finally look up to somone' well meaning twit lol..rant over -.- :)

I love going into little pubs and seeing the "Duck or Grouse" signs on the wooden ceiling beams, especially if I have to duck down to see the barmaid. When I was a waiter, I used to just sit down with the customers so that they weren't intimidated - this had the added advantages that I could hear what they were saying properly, and I could nick their cigarettes!!

Funny you mention the grocery store. Everytime, including just tonight, I go to the grocery store, clerks are always amazed by how tall I am. Just tonight the kid was like "Man, I'm going to do everything I can, not to make you mad".

I just laughed and was like, "Just give me all of my food and I won't have to eat the children".

thats true but i dunno about you but when i was studying abit of psycology and ive prolly spelt that wrong heh but when i was i came to thinking that some people men and women subconciously treat tall people differntly cuz of the effect the tallness has on them for example they expect more from them and i had that a LOT as a kid, like one time i had an aunt tell me 'oh you should know better your older' but actually me and this other kid were the same age and she had jus simply forgotten, maybe a werid example for but i do find it interstingXD

I wouldn't assume something about someone's personality based on their physical apearance.. Especially not that you are more agressive because of how tall you are! Just doesn't make sense.
