Annoying Things People Say To Us

I have always wondered what an adequate response is to the constant "Wow your tall!" remarks. In high school my friends told me I should be like the old guys from the "Bartyles and James" commercials and just say "Thank you for your support." Now a days when people say that I just say "Thank you." For some reason most people find this hilarious...no idea why but I stopped trying to understand the little people many years ago.

I am sure we all have our favorite or least favorite things people say to them, but I had to put one of my pet peeves out there for us to discuss. Why do people think I am interested in how tall their brother, uncle, son, nephew, neighbor...etc is? I also don't understand why someone would actually try to start a conversation with this statement! I am always polite and say "Wow ok." :-)
